IDOE Special Education Survey

Dear Parents,

The Indiana Department of Education-Office of Special Education (IDOE) is asking for your help in an important study to learn more about how Indiana families feel about the special education services their schools provide.  As part of its responsibilities under the Inpiduals with Disabilities Education Act, IDOE must report on parent involvement in their child's special education program, as well as parent satisfaction with the special education services their child receives.  Any parent of a student who received special education services during the 2013-2014 school year are encouraged to complete the online survey below.

IDOE has contracted with WestEd, an independent, non-profit educational research firm, to conduct the survey.  All survey responses are confidential, and no inpidual information is disclosed.  Your responses will be combined with the responses from other parents in your school corporation, and a summary of the results will be provided to the school corporation and IDOE.

Online Survey

The survey should take no more than five minutes to complete.

If you have any questions please contact the following inpiduals:
For questions about the survey itself- Marisela Sifuentes at WestEd at 562-799-5110

For all other questions- Christina Furbee at the IDOE at 317-232-9142 or [email protected]

Thank you for your participation in this survey.  Your survey responses will help shape the direction of special education services and inform how we can best serve the needs of families and students in Indiana.
